A temporary release

In the past two months, there were a lot of exams. In the next month, there will be several more important exams waiting for me. I nearly have no time to touch this project.

So I decided to release a temporary one. As I said in the post MIM DB Tools (written in Chinese), these scripts had already worked for a long time, and there is just some minor problems (including language).

PS, I think developing these tools using C++ should be quite easy -- the developer need not to write database driver. But I never found it.

The database migration and contacts grouping tool have been available in SVN repository. Browse.

The development of Contacts Grouping Tool is more smooth than expected. So the first release of Miranda IM Database Tools may be available at the end of the month.

Classifying the contacts in Miranda IM is always an annoying work. There are hundreds of contacts in my list. Every time I built a new database, I had to spend nearly half an hour on reclassifying the contacts and resetting the system options.

Now, I have written a migration tool that can help me keep the original group of contacts. But, I think some people such as new users to MIM maybe need a tool that can classify their contacts efficiently. So I decide to write a contacts grouping tool that provides multiple ways for classifying the contacts.

Miranda IM Database Handler was released first. Soon the tools will be released.

The first alpha version of new Miranda IM Database Tools will be released before the end of the month.

At that time, this project will provides a new db handler that can modify the database of Miranda IM. And there will be several utility tools that could do some helpful operations for Miranda IM users.
